How We Met: The True Origin Story of Generations Woven

In this episode of Generations Woven, three generations come together to share the true story of how we met and how this podcast was born, not from a business plan, but from conversation, connection, and a shared calling to help women feel less alone.

Episode 9

A Gentle Way for Women to Reclaim Their Lives Without Burning It All Down

Sometimes you do not go looking for your people.

Sometimes life places you next to them, and something inside you just knows.

In this episode of Generations Woven, three generations come together to share the true story of how we met and how this podcast was born, not from a business plan, but from conversation, connection, and a shared calling to help women feel less alone.

This is not a story about instant success or perfect timing. It is about unexpected moments, ordinary places, and the quiet way life weaves people together when they are ready to listen.

0:00 Welcome to Generations Woven and why we are finally telling the “how we met” story.
0:57 This podcast did not start as an idea. It started with listening and real conversations.

12:14 Why personal connection, handwritten notes, and real conversation still matter.
17:31 Your invitation to reach out and reconnect with a woman who shaped your life

How We Met: The Origin Story of Generations Woven

Generations Woven did not begin as a podcast concept, a brand name, or a polished plan. It began the way many meaningful things do, with women talking, listening, and realizing they were not meant to keep their stories to themselves.

This episode shares how Judy’s chance meeting in a chiropractor waiting room led to coffee, conversations, and a friendship that felt instantly familiar. It traces how Nerina’s faith, reflection, and life experiences shaped the depth she brings to the table. And it reveals how Tasha, in a season of searching, finally named what she had been circling for years: a desire to help women feel connected again.

The night we all met was not about planning the future. We sat at dinner for hours, talked about life, family, faith, and memories from earlier generations. There was no agenda, only presence. And yet, something was happening beneath the surface.

One small but telling moment came when Nerina’s meal arrived without avocado. Tasha quietly stood up, crossed the street, bought avocados, and made it right. It was funny, but it was also symbolic. It showed who she is: someone who notices, who acts, and who shows up for others without hesitation.

Later that night, the conversation turned deeper. We talked about grandparents, handwritten letters, sitting around tables, and the kind of connection that feels rarer in today’s fast, digital world. That is when it clicked. We were all carrying the same desire, even if we had named it differently over the years.

We wanted to help women.
We wanted to create space for stories.
We wanted to reconnect generations.

When the idea of a podcast surfaced, it did not feel rushed or risky. It felt obvious. Less than 24 hours after meeting, the foundation for Generations Woven was already there, because the connection came first.

This episode is a reminder that community does not have to be forced. It can be built slowly, honestly, and with intention. It also reminds us that growth and peace can exist together, and that meaningful work often begins with simply saying yes to a conversation.

Generations Woven is not just a podcast. It is a space for women ages 18 to 100 to feel seen, heard, and supported. A place where stories are shared, wisdom is passed, and connection is rebuilt one conversation at a time.

The episode closes with a simple invitation. Think about the women who shaped your life. Someone who walked beside you for a season, taught you something quietly, or made you feel less alone. Reach out to one of them this week. Start a conversation.

Because connection is where growth begins.

No matter where you are on your journey, you are not starting from scratch.
You are starting from connection.
