Wash jalapeños. Slit open on one side length of pepper. Clean out seeds.
Cut string cheese length of jalapeño pepper. Put string cheese inside pepper.
Wrap bacon around pepper with string cheese.
Place in baking dish seam side down where bacon meets.
Bake at 400°F (I use parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup). 20-30 minutes until bacon is crisp. Drizzle maple syrup on top.
Let cool slightly before serving.


Ingredients (mix together):
2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried thyme
A pinch of red pepper flakes
2 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons to your favorite gumbo or jambalaya recipe.
Storage:
Store in a container in a cool, dry place.
